We want our virtual convention to be a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all of us. Therefore, in addition to the UK laws, and Zoom policies, we have our own standards of expected behaviour. We ask that everyone behaves responsibly: any action or behaviour that is illegal, causes significant interference with event operations, causes excessive discomfort to other attendees, or adversely affects the convention’s relationship with it's panellists, is strictly forbidden and may result in expulsion from the event.
In this vein, please respect that Arwel Wyn Jones has kindly given his time to answer questions at our event and we would ask you to keep questions relevant to his work on the show.
We do not tolerate harassment at our convention, in any form. Everyone is entitled to a harassment free experience, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, nationality, or religion. If guests have specified pronouns, please respect these.
Harassment includes unwelcome sexual attention, offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking/following someone, and disrupting talks/panels.
All ships are welcome at HolmesCon, though there will be more focus on Johnlock. Ship shaming will not be tolerated.
We respectfully ask that you do not record the Zoom panels or take any screenshots without the express permission of those featured on screen. The Q&A with Arwel will be recorded by the moderator.
Please also respect that not all guests use their given names on social media, and though guests may discover others name’s during the con, they should be sure that they do not share this personal information online.
If anyone engages in harassing behaviour, the convention organisers have the right to expel the offender from the panel, or from the event in its entirety, without a refund.
If you feel you are being discriminated against or harassed, please reach out to one of the event organisers.
We will be operating a 'waiting room' on Zoom and you will only be admitted to a panel if you have a Holmescon ticket. Please do not try to join if you do not have one. All panels will be password protected.
We look forward to welcoming you all in September.
